Traditional crafts from Matsuyama, Ehime

The building is decorated with crafts typical of Matsuyama, such as vintage Iyo Kasuri (dyed Iyo kasuri), Tobe ware, and bamboo crafts.
For breakfast, we use Tobe ware, which is designated as a national traditional craft.

"Iyo kasuri" is a type of kasuri made in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, and is said to be one of Japan's three major kasuri, along with Kurume kasuri and Bingo kasuri.
Kasuri is a plain weave, pre-dyed fabric made from navy blue cotton.
At REF Matsuyama City Station, the guest rooms are also decorated with Iyo Kasuri fabric, creating a design that evokes the local area.
