Towards the mine

The sunlight that hits my eyes right after I wake up is so bright and dominant that I can barely see anything.
As time passed and I gradually began to see things, what used to be pale in my perception began to appear pale red, and I realized that I could not escape from its control.
Works by the same artist are also displayed in one of the premium twin guest rooms.

A garden

A lot of light from the sun reflects off clouds and trees and reaches people.
Just stand in the path of that light and bask in it like a plant.
Perhaps the light was stronger than usual, and the familiar pale red flowers there seemed pale for a moment.

neighborhood 3

We will think about the fluctuations between our "eyes" and "what is depicted." The inorganic three-dimensional shapes of "Neighborhood 3" easily create space. Since it is a basic shape, something may be in the process of being created. Even when three-dimensional objects are simply lined up, our eyes perceive them as different spaces. These things constantly fluctuate depending on one's own psychological state, and I feel that it is impossible to see anything with certainty.

Create a pattern with paint and paste blocks of paint onto it like a collage. Where does the support begin, and where does the drawing begin? I create mainly two-dimensional works while feeling the fascination with the changes in materials, from patterns to paints, and from paints to paintings, and the swaying changes that occur.

Half Piece of Symmetry-1

A piece from the ``Half Piece of Symmetry'' series of five silkscreen prints produced in 1995.
An image decalized using the Rorschach test method on a polyester film is cut in half, and only one half of the screen is printed in black ink. An overwhelming strength overflows from the screen due to the simple concept printed using a simple method.
At a workshop held for elementary school students around the same time, drawings based on a similar concept appeared.

Because of you

When I was a child, I had a shocking experience when I realized that in the tea I drink every day, there are water molecules that come from somewhere shimmering, and that I myself play a part in the flow of receiving and transporting that water. Ta. Since I grew up, I've been thinking about things that go beyond tea and involve all kinds of substances that flicker and move and meet each other.

Picture books, decorative letters, and other things that combine stories with letters and patterns have existed in every country for a long time.
I have been creating installations as devices for generating stories. The same is true of recent video works.
Why do people try to read, and do they need the objects they read? Also, what kind of timeline has our civilization developed through "propagation"? These are such big themes, but at the root of it all, there is such an interest in "story."

Untitled

When I paint, I drizzle a generous amount of oil onto the canvas before I begin to move the brush. By doing so, various memories and symbols emerge as the paint bleeds, drips, and mixes while maintaining noise within the screen. In order to create a picture within a square screen, I go back and forth between what is tangible and what is not.

A combination of step-tone images, in which a single color is printed over and over again in several plates, from light to dark areas, and images using a photo process. When I create my works, I consider death and the life it brings to light. At the time of creation, this work was made upside down from its current state. When the hanging flowers were reversed, they stood up gently and powerfully. The dripping paint defied gravity and tried to climb up into the sky. It may be rare to find a work that embodies my concept to this extent.

About singularity 5

This work was born from a landscape with electric wires that I encountered while walking around Bangkok for several days. Many Thai electric wires are wrapped in thick bundles that hide the second floor of the building. In the homes of middle-class Thai families, the first floor is open like a community space, and the second floor is a closed living space. I felt like I could see the personalities of the people living in the city through those gaps.

Behind the Hill v.1

A piece from the "Misty Room" series created in 1993.
Using the motif of the planning process for the work, he also collages various elements (you can also see snapshots of past works), adds drawings, etc. This was shot in one shot, printed in process color, and then new video fragments (here you can also see reused images from positives used in past works) are printed over them. The double collage obscures the depth of your line of sight - just like being in a fog.
This series of works was born from the flow of this period, from cultivating fragmentary images, turning them into units, and exploring the possibility of constructing a space through these units in the field of painting.

colored oil series

The ``colored oil'' series, which the artist has been working on since 2015, is a photographic work that takes macro photography of the physical interaction of various liquids around the artist. The series of works that are formed by entrusting themselves to the phenomena that occur on a very small scale and incorporating chance with sharply-honed concentration are based on universal motifs that are familiar to everyone, but are created only by Fujisaki. We present a unique appearance that cannot be achieved.
