Sukoyaka Holdings Co., Ltd. (Head office: Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture, President and CEO:Miyazato Miyazato　Toshiyuki Toshiyuki, hereinafter referred to as Sukoyaka Holdings) and Vessel Hotel Development Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, President and CEO:Seo Seo　Yoshiro All right, hereinafter referred to as Vessel Hotels) will hold the grand opening of "REF Okinawa Arena by VESSEL HOTELS" on the site of the former Koza Athletic Park Soccer Field on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. This project is a development project for the former Koza Athletic Park Soccer Field site under Okinawa City's Park-PFI system, and Vessel Hotels will operate a hotel owned by Sukoyaka Holdings.

In conjunction with the opening, the official website (https://www.vessel-hotel.jp/ref/okinawa/) will begin accepting reservations for stays from Tuesday, August 1, 2023 onwards.

Vessel Hotels currently operates 33 facilities across the country, and plans call for a total of 34 facilities, including the Ref Okinawa Arena by Vessel Hotels, which will open in August 2023.

The "REF" in "REF Okinawa Arena by VESSEL HOTELS" is an abbreviation of Regional, Experience, and Flexible. Among the Vessel Hotels brands, this is a brand that specializes in the region, and promotes the charm of the region both domestically and internationally. Sukoyaka Holdings and Vessel Hotels will work together to invigorate the region, centering on Okinawa City, and to ensure the satisfaction of visiting guests.

■ Hotels where you can enjoy Chanpuru
Our hotel is located in Okinawa City, the "City of Eisa." The city is famous for its thriving jazz and rock music scene, as well as Okinawa's traditional Eisa dance and folk songs. The unique culture that blends traditional performing arts with an exotic atmosphere is known as "Chanpuru* culture." *"Chanpuru" is an Okinawan dialect word meaning "mixed" or "something that's been mixed up."
Based on the concept of "THE Chanpuru," the hotel aims to be a locally-based hotel that blends in with the city and connects the city and the hotel by offering events that coincide with local festivals and sporting events.
The first floor will feature a restaurant and multi-purpose room open from breakfast to lunch and dinner, while the second floor will feature public bath with sauna (men's bath: dry sauna, women's bath: mist sauna). The women's public bath will also feature a barrel sauna, allowing you to relax in the scent of natural wood. There will also be a music bar and pool on the top floor (8th floor), and a convenience store on the premises. The hotel is close to Okinawa Minami IC on the Okinawa Expressway, and there is a surface parking lot on the premises. The hotel is within walking distance of Okinawa Arena, which hosts concerts, exhibitions, sports events, and more.
