To create a timeless design, the shapes are simple, but the colors are changed slightly to create a varied color tone. Omiya has long been known as a bonsai town. It all began when bonsai growers from Tokyo, who were affected by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, moved here in search of large plots of land, fresh water, and fresh air suitable for bonsai cultivation.
