The event was organized by Weerasinghe Dushyantha Jude, Deputy Manager of VESSEL HOTEL CAMPANA KYOTO GOJO, who is originally from Sri Lanka. With the increase in COVID-19 cases, he wanted to do something for people who are unable to travel abroad and are losing enjoyment, so he decided to hold an event about his home country, Sri Lanka.

At the event, Sri Lankan cuisine prepared by the staff themselves will be served (reservation required). In addition, we will prepare a gallery displaying photos and explanations about Sri Lanka's tourist destinations and culture, and a space where you can try on traditional costumes. At the venue, Sri Lankan music will be played and staff wearing traditional Sri Lankan clothing will welcome you. You can fully enjoy the culture and atmosphere of Sri Lanka.

*Parking is available for 500 yen for 3 hours (first come, first served, maximum height 1.8m).

■ An event where you can fully experience Sri Lanka
On the day, you will be able to enjoy Sri Lankan cuisine, as well as a gallery of Sri Lankan culture and a silent film (approximately 45-90 minutes). During the event, you will be greeted by staff dressed in traditional costumes in a space where Sri Lankan music is playing. You will be able to experience the feeling of visiting Sri Lanka.

We offer a menu perfect for the lingering heat of summer.
We offer some of the most famous Sri Lankan dishes, including Sri Lankan chicken curry, deviled chicken, and turmeric potatoes. We offer authentic Sri Lankan cuisine made with plenty of spices that have the effect of lowering body temperature and stimulating gastrointestinal movement. This menu is perfect for beating the lingering heat of summer.
In addition to providing Sri Lankan black tea and Ceylon tea, free soft drinks, coffee, and other drinks will be available at the venue, and those who make a reservation can help themselves.

Trying on traditional costumes
We have prepared a folk costume "Salama" that can be worn by both women and men so that you can feel Sri Lanka from the costume. If you wish, you can try it on for free. We will set up a shooting spot so that you can take a commemorative photo, so please wear costumes and enjoy shooting.
